I received an email today requesting help with marketing to real estate agents. The writer was having a hard time selling them on the idea of giving a gift basket to a new home buyer as most agents preferred to give Lowes gift cards.

I told her that there was no way I could give her all the info she needed on the topic but that she just needed to show the agents how much better a gift basket would be received and how that might result in a referral at a later date. But the best piece of information I gave her was to refer her to the Gift Basket Tips Message Board.

I took a couple of minutes and did a quick search for ‘market to real estate’ and found a great post from 2002 about selling to real estate agents.
